FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions. We're here to help

  • Do I have to live in Leicester?
Provided you can travel to the clinic, you can live anywhere in the UK. We will need to see a copy of your passport to confirm your identity and country of residence.
  • How do I qualify to become a sperm donor?
To become a donor, you must meet certain criteria such as being in good health, between the ages of 18 and 40, and passing a detailed screening process that includes medical, genetic, and psychological evaluations.
  • Can I donate sperm if I have a family history of genetic conditions?
Each case is evaluated individually during the screening process. A thorough genetic analysis will be conducted to assess potential risks. Our team will provide guidance based on the specific circumstances of your family history.
  • How many times can I donate?
We encourage our donors to visit 2-3 times per week.
  • Is my privacy guaranteed as a sperm donor?
Absolutely! We prioritise the confidentiality and anonymity of our donors, ensuring that your personal information and identity remain protected throughout the entire process of donating.
  • Do I have to have proven fertility?
No. Provided you have good sperm quality that meets our criteria, then we can consider taking you on.
  • Will I have a legal obligation to any child born from my donation?
No, you won't be named on the birth certificate and you won't be the legal parent of the child.
