The technology that is used for cryopreservation has seen tremendous advancements in the recent years, which has made it possible to store sperm in ways that were not feasible in the past. Vitrification is one of the many methods that are utilised nowadays for the purpose of freezing and storing sperm. This method involves fast freezing samples in order to maintain their viability. In addition, we make use of a computer-controlled freezing technique that gives us perfect control over the freezing process. This helps to ensure that the samples we store will continue to be viable and functional for as long as is necessary. These developments in cryopreservation technology have helped to increase the safety of donated sperm as well as its efficacy.
